Sri Emas Appreciation Day

One of the many highlights each school year is our Appreciation Day where the students band together and put on all kinds of performances, shows and skits in appreciation of their teachers. At what's more commonly known around these parts as App Day, we also take the opportunity to honour the kids for their many achievements: High achievers throughout the year, excellence in sports, last year's IGCSE standouts, you name it.

Without fail, each App Day brings out the creative best in our kids and it's always a joy to be part of it to see how the kids have grown. We've got a few of the best shots right here to see what our Appreciation Day looked like and it was an awesome one, once again. Thank you to all our students who were part of this fantastic afternoon here at Sri!

As always, if you'd like your children to experience an education for the 21st century and how much fun learning actually can be, please get in touch with us. You can always drop by for a tour and let your child experience things here first hand with our free 3 day trial classes!

Sidenote: Given how much Sri Emas has grown, this year's App Day was held at Sunway University to accommodate the numbers comfortably.

Principal Melinda's opening address:

The ART.C Gallery's masterpieces. Did you know that our Arts & Design team put out a colouring book with the students' artwork? Fantastic stuff!

Our MCs for the evening did a great job of facilitating the event smoothly!

We had some amazing Hip Hop performances by students of all ages. These kids really take it to another level with each new routine!

Our younger dancers showed up in full force, too!

An awesome Wushu performance by one of our Year 8 students!

Principal Melinda honouring the high achieving students from last year's batch:

Our current school leavers already received their results for their Chinese and Bahasa IGCSE:

We recognised our students excellence in sports as well, such as for Badminton, for example:

And Table Tennis as well.

We've also had some hilarious drama performances, such as this one from one of the Year 7 classes: Their take on the Malaysian lifestyle.

One of the highlights was definitely what the students in their Vocals classes had cooked up: An awesome group performance and two absolutely fantastic solo performances from our Year 8 students!

The two solos were out of this world...

And what better way to end Appreciation Day than with a christmas song, since it's just around the corner! Year 8 Chrysos' 'All I want for Christmas' got the crowd into the spirit, that's for certain!

With yet another wonderful App Day in the books, we say goodbye to an amazing 2017 and are already now looking forward to App Day '18 which will undoubtedly raise the bar yet again. Thank you to all our students, parents, teachers and team members who have made this year such a fantastic one! See you soon!
