Gaming enhances everything from communication and hand-eye coordination to problem-solving and teamwork. Now, you have the chance to win $300 USD for your short film showcasing how gaming has positively impacted your real life!

-Open to students aged 10-17 from around the world.
-Participants can compete individually or in teams of up to 4.

Esports Education Short Film Contest (ESF01) – Terms and Conditions

1. General Terms

1.1. The “Esports Education Short Film Contest (ESF01)” is organised by Sri Emas International School.
1.2. By submitting an entry, participants (“Entrants”) agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
1.3. The Organiser reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Eligibility

2.1. The competition is open to individuals or teams.
2.2. Entrants must be between 10 and 17 years old and have parental/guardian consent.
2.3. Employees of the Organiser, judges, and their immediate family members are not eligible.

3. Submission Guidelines

3.1. Films must be between 3 and 5 minutes in duration.
3.2. The film must be an original work, created specifically for this competition.
3.3. Films may be in any language, but English subtitles must be provided where applicable.
3.4. Submissions must not include hate speech, offensive content, or infringe upon the rights of any individual or organisation.
3.5. The film must incorporate esports or gaming themes.

4. Copyright and Intellectual Property

4.1. Entrants must hold full rights to the film, including visuals, music, and other media used.
4.2. By submitting an entry, entrants grant the Organiser a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, promote, and distribute the film for promotional and marketing purposes.
4.3. The Organiser will not claim ownership of the submitted films; entrants retain all intellectual property rights.
4.4. If the film includes third-party content, entrants must obtain the necessary permissions or licences.
4.5. Any unauthorised use of copyrighted materials may result in disqualification.

5. Judging and Prizes

5.1. Entries will be judged based on storytelling, production quality, esports relevance, editing, and audience engagement.
5.2. Decisions made by the judges are final and cannot be contested.
5.3. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5.4 There will be one champion in this competition who will take home the $300 USD prize

6. Disqualification

6.1. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry that:
a) Violates these terms and conditions.
b) Contains offensive or inappropriate content.
c) Is found to be plagiarised or in breach of copyright laws.
6.2. Any attempt to manipulate the public voting system (if applicable) will result in immediate disqualification.

7. Liability and Indemnification

7.1. The Organiser is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected submissions.
7.2. Entrants agree to indemnify and hold the Organiser harmless from any claims, damages, or legal disputes arising from their submission.
7.3. The Organiser is not responsible for any technical failures or issues beyond its control.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

8.1. Entrants’ personal data will only be used for the administration of the competition.
8.2. The Organiser will not share personal information with third parties without consent.

9. Governing Law

9.1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia.

10. Agreement to Terms

10.1. By submitting an entry, entrants confirm they have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
