It was all songs, dance and plays at the ACE EdVenture Performance Day

Students from Sri Emas, Pusat Tuisyen Sirius and ACE EdVenture Programme got together to bring you Where We Should Have Been. The two hour show featuring students trained in our vocals, drama, and hip hop classes was held at Damansara Performing Arts Centre.

The show started with a rendition of Dear Old Shiz from Wicked the Musical and it was just amazing. Seeing and hearing this stunning symphony of young voices, belting out a pitch perfect cover, it was truly remarkable.

In a parody of our sometimes irrational fear of terrorists, an innocent but paranoid couple gets themselves arrested over an unattended bag.

Next up was Summer Nights from the musical Grease. John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John recorded the best known version of this song, and we were thrilled to see our students living up to the standards of international stars!

Revolting Children, another number from Matilda the Musical. Based on Roald Dahl’s Matilda, it tells the story of an intelligent, knowledge-hungry child living in a loveless, unfriendly environment.

There was a rerun of The Ketchup Bottle, featuring an angry spat over the breakfast table. We’re glad this popular sketch, which first appeared during the Student Directed Festival, made a comeback. Everybody loved it!

The closing act saw the students perform a very heartwarming version of Sunday from Sunday in the Park with George. It was another delightful performance where all the students’ voices were in perfect harmony.

Our students ended the very wonderful and entertaining performance with a curtain call. Smiles all round, a toast to a show well done.

Congratulations to all of our students!
