Hong Kong Educational Visit 2013
Once again we were honoured to host an international school educational visit. This time, we welcomed 34 students and 4 teachers from Hong Kong.
Their expectation of visiting our school for a day is to learn the interesting methods to learn the English language. As most of us are aware, the best way of learning the English language are by these 4 ways; listening, reading aloud, having more conversations in English and lastly writing.
Upon arrival, they were greeted by Tr. Anne, our group’s managing director. After the welcome speech, the students were divided into 4 groups. They were firstly given a school tour and were arranged to join the existing Year 10 classes for the day and were all greeted with open arms by our teachers, admin staff and our students. Although the students from Hong Kong were older than them, the students had no problem mingling with them even given the occasional language barriers.
By the end of the tour, Mr Lee of Fung Kai No.1 Secondary School was very impressed with the culture at Sri Emas and our unique teaching methods. He told us that he would try to implement these teaching skills in his school in Hong Kong as well.
